Job summary

Noland Health Services is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide residents with routine daily personal care and support according to each resident’s plan of care. The role includes assisting with ADLs, documenting care, and responding to resident needs in a compassionate manner.

Responsibilities cover bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, meal support, and reporting changes to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid CNA certification in Alabama or obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps residents rooms and resident care areas clean and neat.
• Participates in the orientation of new residents to facility.
• Documents care as instructed and required.

• Assists in transporting resident to/from dining room, therapy, activity and social programs.
• Monitors and records vital signs and reports any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
• Encourages resident to participate in activity programs and assists as needed.
• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents using appropriate techniques.
• Serves meals and assists with feeding as necessary.
• Responds to call lights and resident requests promptly and courteously.
• Performs other duties as directed and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

1. Provides personal care and activities of daily living (ADL’s) care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

5. Reports all changes in the resident’s condition (i.e., areas of redness, skin tears, bruising, mental status change, eating habits, etc.) to the charge nurse.

8. Monitors and records vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration andreports any changes in condition to the nursing staff.

10. Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.

11. Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc., as necessary, utilizing appropriate techniques.

12. Serves meals and assist with feeding as necessary.

13. Responds to call lights and resident requests promptly and courteously.

14. Performs other duties as directed and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Must possess a current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Alabama or obtain certification within 120 days of hire. Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
