Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, FL is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time 12-hour shifts (days or nights). Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $22.56 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Extensive orientation and advancement programs are offered to support growth.

Responsibilities include bathing, oral care, hourly rounds, patient transport, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as CNA or related field (e.g., medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and providing oral hygiene and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Assist with patient transport to treatment centers and move patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; manage unit stock levels as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
