Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Tallahassee is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our acute rehabilitation unit inside Select Specialty Hospital. The role offers 12-hour shifts on day or night lines, with a base rate of $17.23–$21 per hour depending on experience, plus a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 3+ years of related work), and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years related work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving them in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and care instruments/equipment.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and participate in other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full Time, 12hr shifts, Day and Night shift positions available

Compensation: $17.23 - $21 per hour (based on experience)

plus shift differential for night and weekend shifts

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
