We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Nights for one of our clients in Waterloo, NY.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients on the assigned unit, including understanding of growth and development, assessing patient data, and providing necessary care for adult and geriatric patients.

• Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination, turning/positioning, skin care, etc.
• Complete documentation per protocol.
• Maintain resident environment and safety, including answering call lights, providing safety equipment, monitoring equipment, and fall prevention.
• Meet nutritional needs as outlined in the care plan, including meal delivery, tray setup, feeding, and respecting resident preferences.
• Address rehabilitative needs such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment, documenting all activities.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, concerns, and changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status promptly to the charge or supervising nurse.
• Handle occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues responsibly.

Qualifications

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS (AHA or RQI)

Experience Required

• One (1) year of LTC experience or CNA capacity
• Must be licensed for at least 1 year

Work Hours

• Full-time nights contract, 5x8 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays required
