We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Nights for one of our clients in Penn Yan, NY.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, with understanding of growth and development across the lifespan. The individual should be able to assess patient data, interpret information, and provide care suited to adult and geriatric patients.

• Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the plan of care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination, turning/positioning, and skin care.
• Complete documentation per protocol.
• Maintain a safe environment, including answering call lights promptly, using safety mats, low beds, and monitoring equipment, in accordance with policies.
• Meet nutritional needs as per care plan, including meal delivery, tray setup, feeding, and respecting resident preferences.
• Address rehabilitative needs such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment, documenting appropriately.
• Report resident rights issues, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse timely.
• Identify and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status.
• Handle occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Qualifications

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification + BLS (AHA)
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of LTC experience and valid license for at least one year

Work Hours

• Full-time nights, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• 37.5 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays
