Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Beaumont is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time day shift (6a-6p). The CNA provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse, assisting with activities of daily living while ensuring comfort and safety.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent and state CNA certification; current BLS is required. Prior acute hospital or rehab experience is preferred.

• Experience in acute hospital, rehab hospital, or skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Document patient observations and report changes to the nurse on duty.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
