Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for its Hospital Float Pool. You will cover inpatient units, transport patients, and support procedures across multiple departments.

The role is 0.4 FTE (32 hours bi-weekly) with 8-hour day shifts (Mon-Fri) and no weekend work, plus holiday coverage. Wisconsin CNA certification and BLS/ACLS within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin CNA certification required.
• BLS/Infant-Adult Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Cover inpatient units in the hospital float pool (med-surg, pediatrics, inpatient behavioral health).
• Transport patients for procedures, therapy, x-ray, etc.
• Work 0.4 FTE (32 hours bi-weekly) on 8-hour day shifts, Mon-Fri, no weekends, three holidays.

We are seeking a CNA in the Hospital Float Pool to help cover inpatient units, such as medical-surgical, pediatrics and inpatient behavioral health. You will also help with transporting patients throughout the hospital for procedures, therapy, x-ray etc.

What You Do

• 0.4 FTE, 32 hours bi-weekly
• Working in Transport 8-hour Day shifts (6:30am - 3:00pm, 7:30am-4:00pm and 8:30am-5:00pm). Monday-Friday
• No Weekends!
• Three holidays a year

What You’ll Need

• Wisconsin Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire
