Ely Manor in Michigan is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health status, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment in accordance with facility policies.

Responsibilities include direct resident care (bathing, grooming, mobility), vital signs, documentation, and infection control.

Qualifications

• CNA cares for residents under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide direct resident care and assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with facility procedures.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Provide postmortem care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, percentage of meal consumed intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Provides postmortem care

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.
