Newark Wayne Community Hospital & DeMay Living Center in Newark, NY is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for day shifts at DeMay Living Center. You will provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with the nursing team, assist residents with activities, and support families and staff in a fast-paced long-term care setting.

The role requires NYS CNA certification, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Currently certified as a CNA in New York State.
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for residents.

Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
