Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, IL. You will provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals and support daily living activities under nursing and medical staff supervision. The Night shift is 10 p.m.

– 6 a.m., Sunday–Thursday (Fridays and Saturdays off). A HS diploma or GED and CNA certification are required; CPR/BLS certification is required and active.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required and active.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).
• One year of experience in acute, long-term, emergency or correctional care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nursing, medical and psychiatric staff supervision.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitor vital signs.

We offer an evening differential of $4/hour and a night differential of $3/hour.

Job Overview

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical team at Shawnee Correctional Center located in Vienna, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.
• Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required
• CNA licensure in Maryland required
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift

Full-Time Night Shift, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.., Sunday - Thursday (Fridays and Saturdays off)
