Job summary

University Health & Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - 1st Shift 7a-3p.

As a CNA, you will provide individualized care to residents, assist with activities of daily living, help with mealtime, mobility, and positioning, monitor health status, and support the nursing team to ensure compassionate, high-quality care every day.

Qualifications

• Active unencumbered CNA certification in North Carolina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote well being.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care to each resident.
