Job summary

University Health & Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for first shift 7a-3p to join our growing team. As a CNA, you will deliver compassionate, hands-on care aligning with our Care Beyond Compare philosophy and collaborate with nurses and therapists to support residents.

You’ll assist with activities of daily living, monitor health, help with mobility, and engage residents in social activities.

Qualifications

• Active NC CNA certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well-being.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
