Job summary

Hope's Creek Retirement Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring team. The ideal candidate will provide personal care, assist with mobility, meals, and daily living activities for residents in a supportive home-like setting.

You will work day shifts with a focus on safety, dignity, and compassionate support. Prior CNA or healthcare experience preferred; valid driver's license helpful for local transport and errands.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents.
• Assist with medications and ambulation under supervision.
• Help with mobility to appointments and activities outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily living tasks.
• Report incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Support daily living activities for residents as needed.

Job description

We are looking for aCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong background in healthcare. The day-to-day duties of this role include planning and preparing meals, helping clients with mobility around or outside of the house, and providing personal hygiene assistance.

Day shift 6am/2pm- 4 on 2 off rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
