Cedar Crest at North Florida in Gainesville, FL is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to join our family-oriented team. As a CNA, you will deliver direct care to residents in a skilled nursing setting, assisting with daily living activities and supporting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA certification course.
• Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level to perform essential duties.

• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
• New hire orientation completion required.

Responsibilities

• Caring for residents' personal needs, safety, and comfort.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, hygiene, and mobility.
• Aid in daily tasks such as telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders as appropriate.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.
• Assist in dining, including escorting residents and serving.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this position:

The Certified Nursing Assistant, delivers direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and life care standards in the health and rehabilitation center (skilled nursing home). CNAs will assists our residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene and mobility, by prioritizing their wellbeing and ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence.
