Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The CNA is responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance to residents in our community.

Required Experience for CNA:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in Healthcare, Geriatrics, or working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience as a nursing aide preferred.
• Must be a licensed, Certified Nursing Assistant according to state laws.

Accountabilities for CNA:

• Maintain professionalism in attitude, demeanor, and dress.
• Organize effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Handle frequent interruptions and interact with residents and staff in all conditions.
• Work varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be available for callbacks during emergencies.
• Perform continuous physical movement.

Responsibilities for CNA:

• Lead and provide 1440 care.
• Review Resident Care Plans at the start of each shift.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility of residents.
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs, intake/output, and physical/mental conditions.
• Ensure safety, privacy, and dignity of residents, following all protocols and resident rights.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and room preparations.
• Document care activities accurately using authorized abbreviations and systems like CareTracker.
• Follow infection control procedures and report any exposures or incidents immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of service areas and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions:

This role involves standing for long periods, effective communication, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, and climbing. The environment is moderately noisy, and occasional travel may be required.
