- Break/Meal: 30 minutes
- Shift Details: Monday to Friday availability
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32 to 40H/W
- Overtime Hours: If needed by the Facility
- Contract Duration: 7 weeks
- Bonus: Will be discussed with Agency Recruiter
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Center Nurse Executive/Infection Preventionist/Designee, the CNA/LNA delivers efficient and effective nursing care to achieve positive outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. The CNA performs various patient care activities and non-professional services essential for patient comfort and needs. Responsibilities may include specimen collection for POC testing where permitted by scope of practice and regulations.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide patient care ensuring safety and comfort, including assisting with ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, positioning, and personal belongings.
- Assist with treatments, procedures, and documentation as needed.
- Transport patients, prepare for therapy, and participate in care planning.
- Maintain infection control practices and participate in orientation of new CNAs.
- Report changes in patient condition, concerns, or complaints.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas and equipment.
- Support discharge processes and promote a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with departments to provide timely, effective care respecting patient preferences.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, maintain confidentiality, and work beyond scheduled shifts if needed.
Educational/Vocational Requirements:
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred; must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Verification of TST, and willingness to attend continuing education.
- Knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn.
- Compliance with legal, policy, and training requirements, including HIPAA and ethics.
Specimen Collector Responsibilities (where permitted):
- Collect nasal specimens following procedures, maintain specimen integrity, and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Complete training and competency in specimen collection and processing.
- Report equipment malfunctions or incidents during collection.
Qualification Considerations:
- Experience as Lab tech, enrolled in nursing school, IP for IC rounds, CNA recommendations, Med Tech, or Med Aide within scope.
- Must be fit tested and able to wear N95/KN95 respirator.
