Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately documenting all patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ensure patient safety by using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records with precision.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates on patient status and address concerns compassionately.
Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within healthcare environments.
Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, behavioral health needs, or those requiring memory care.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC for medical documentation and patient record management.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures including medication administration and vital signs monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices when assisting patients with mobility or transfers.
Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service.
