Interim HealthCare of Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care in Fort Myers and surrounding areas.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor health, and support clients to live safely at home. Benefits include signing bonus, flexible schedules, ongoing online training, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active HHA registration in Florida.
• At least six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to read, write, and report clinical information in English.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, auto insurance, transportation, and good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so clients live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship).
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition; notify supervisor as needed.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients in activities to promote well-being and joy.

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home


• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship


• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises


• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns


• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways


• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Florida


• At least Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred


• CPR certification


• Able to effectively communicate in English including the ability to read, write, and report clinical information to patients, families and agency staff


• Valid Florida driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation and good driving record.


• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
