Job summary

Regency Pacific Management is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our team on the vent and trach unit. This part-time weekend position provides essential patient care and promotes residents' dignity and well-being in Tacoma, Washington.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with grooming, bathing, mobility, vital signs, and documentation while adhering to safety and infection control procedures. CPR/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must possess CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

  • Follow individualized care plans and report changes to care staff.
  • Assist residents with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Maintain skin integrity and prevent pressure ulcers through turning and hygiene.
  • Protect residents' belongings and report missing items per policy.
  • Take vital signs, weight, collect specimens, and document care per policies.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate respectfully with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.

Part-Time Opportunity is Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will
  • Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
  • Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
  • Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
  • Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
  • Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
  • Document care in keeping with department policies
  • Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
You Currently
  • Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
