Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Patriots Village State Veterans Home in Memory Care. EV and NOC shifts are available. The role emphasizes compassionate resident care and daily living support.

Applicants must maintain active CNA certification, meet state/federal education requirements, and pass background and vaccine checks. Competitive benefits are offered with placement within the wage range based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State and maintain certification throughout employment with Avalon
• Meet State and federal requirements, generally 12 hours, in service education
• Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Recent education or clinical hours are required.
• You need to be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.
• Future Avalon employees may be asked to participate in COVID-19 testing procedures as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing comfort while assisting Residents in achieving their highest level of function
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Monitoring vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure; Maintaining a safe environment and assisting with fall-risk precautions
• Interdepartmental communications within care team
