Job Summary

Main Duties

• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to meet its goals.
• Respond appropriately to residents' families.
• Assist with resident care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, feeding, restorative procedures, and retraining.
• Maintain cleanliness of residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and living areas.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Assist with check-in of new residents and transfers.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the charge nurse.
• Turn bedridden residents every two hours or as needed.
• Wash, clean, and dry incontinent residents.
• Assist the treatment nurse as assigned.
• Complete shift reports and document in EMR.
• Monitor and record vital signs, weight, meal intake, and bowel and bladder status.
• Detect and report potential safety hazards or incidents.
• Ensure work areas are safe and equipment is properly stored and cleaned.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
