Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist nurses in providing resident care, primarily in daily living routines.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate in the State of Illinois.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.

Main Duties
- Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to meet its goals.
- Respond appropriately to residents' families.
- Assist with resident care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, feeding, restorative procedures, and retraining.
- Maintain cleanliness of residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and living areas.
- Answer call lights promptly.
- Assist with check-in of new residents and transfers.
- Report changes in residents' condition to the charge nurse.
- Turn bedridden residents every two hours or as needed.
- Wash, clean, and dry incontinent residents.
- Assist the treatment nurse as assigned.
- Complete shift reports and document in EMR.
- Monitor and record vital signs, weight, meal intake, and bowel and bladder status.
- Detect and report potential safety hazards or incidents.
- Ensure work areas are safe and equipment is properly stored and cleaned.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
