Job Purpose

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides routine nursing and personal care for residents to ensure the highest quality of resident care. This role involves working effectively with team members to accomplish tasks, deliver quality care, support colleagues, and celebrate team successes. While focusing on resident care, the CNA also manages available resources efficiently.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive resident reports at the start and end of each shift.
• Provide personal and nursing care according to the resident care plan.
• Facilitate and conduct activities.
• Monitor and respond to resident requests and needs respectfully and with dignity.
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
• Assist in preparing residents for activities inside and outside the center.
• Ensure all resident care is delivered respectfully and with dignity.
• Perform basic nursing procedures as required.
• Create a safe, comfortable, and clean environment that meets residents' needs.
• Meet residents' food service needs promptly and compassionately.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter such a program, with the ability to graduate and pass a state test within 120 days of employment.
