J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home in Newberry, SC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time shifts on site. Starting wages range from $17.00 to $20.75 per hour, including a $2 attendance bonus and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting a compassionate care team focused on resident well-being and quality of life.

Qualificações

• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as grooming, hygiene, bathing.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Assist with feeding and mobility, ROM exercises as directed.
• Answer call lights and respond to resident needs.
• Document care provided and report changes to supervisor.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Job Functions

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
