Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate home care to seniors in the Macoupin and Sangamon counties. You’ll support daily living, mobility, and personal care with dignity.

We offer flexible hours (full-time, part-time, PRN), weekly pay, a $400 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, benefits including health, dental, and vision, and ongoing training to grow your caregiving skills. You may schedule shifts that fit your life.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and be a caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Strong ethics, empathy and reliable work ethic.
• Own a vehicle with current insurance and a Social Security Card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, and transportation to appointments.
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance.
• Support clients with routine exercises and meal prep.
• Shop for clients or accompany them to shops.
• Perform light housekeeping and remain a pleasant companion.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Requirements
