Job summary

Milwaukee Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care to residents according to assessment plans and supervisor directions.

The role requires current Wisconsin CNA certification and offers shifts including 6:30am-2:30pm and 10:30pm-6:30am. You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain infection control, and collaborate with the care team to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have current and active nursing aide certification in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per resident plan and as directed by supervisors.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including positioning, mobility, bathing, grooming, dressing, and dining support.
• Maintain infection control practices and report health changes to supervising nurses.
• Record all resident information accurately in charts and flow sheets; communicate promptly with the care team.

The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Duties

• Resident centered care oriented including assistance with activities of daily living such as:
• Positioning, Moving, and Restorative Care.
• Mobility, Toileting, and Bathing.
• Grooming: Oral, Shaving and Nail Care.
• Dining Assistance.
• Dressing and Undressing.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Nutrition and Elimination.
• Comfort care and End of Life Care.
• Answer call lights timely and promptly.
• Report all changes in the resident's condition to your assigned nurse as soon as possible.
• Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift when they occur.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Be a team player working in coordination with all disciplines in the facility.
