Job summary

Signature HealthCARE, Memphis facility, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our care team. CNAs provide direct resident care under licensed nursing supervision, supporting daily living activities and maintaining a compassionate environment in line with facility policies.

You will document vital signs, assist with transfers and ADLs, and help orient new staff while upholding resident rights and dignity. Experience with elderly care and teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible, adaptable to change and able to interact with residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope defined by state regulation and plan of care.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake/output and other information.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Turn and position residents; respond to call lights and assist as needed.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff and participate in special projects.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
