Job summary

Signature HealthCARE at Summit Manor Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct resident care under licensed personnel, promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment aligned with facility policies.

CNAs provide ADLs, assist with transfers, monitor vitals, and help maintain cleanliness and safety. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to this patient-centered culture at our facility.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing Assistant certification from state where facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Adaptable to change and able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope defined by state regulation and resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices.
• Record resident vitals, weights, intake/output, and other notes as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents and support resident rights.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff; perform other duties as assigned.

How You Will Make a Difference
Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference
Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
