Job summary

JGS – Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Massachusetts is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The role offers $18.00–$21.00/hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time night shifts (11 PM–7 AM).

Both full-time and part-time positions are available, focusing on ADLs, vital signs, mobility, and resident engagement in a compassionate team setting. Requirements include MA CNA certification in good standing and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA state registry CNA certification in good standing.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals.
• Obtain and document vital signs and observations; promptly report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with safe transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and use of mobility equipment per care plans.
• Encourage participation in recreational and therapeutic activities to promote engagement and quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond to call lights promptly.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Provide compassionate assistance with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals, while maintaining privacy, dignity, and independence.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant observations; promptly communicate changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing team.
• Assist residents with safe transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and use of mobility equipment in accordance with care plans and facility guidelines to reduce the risk of falls and pressure injuries.
• Encourage residents to participate in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote engagement, independence, and overall quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and secure environment by following infection prevention and safety procedures, responding promptly to call lights, and addressing residents' needs throughout the shift.

Qualifications for Success:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the MA state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
