Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed staff supervision. You will support daily living activities, promote a compassionate environment, and assist with mobility and vital sign monitoring in a team-focused setting.

You will work on-site, align with facility policies, and contribute to high-quality resident outcomes while upholding resident rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state where the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently with integrity and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents per policies and care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice and resident plans.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and related data.
• Routinely turn and position residents and respect their rights and choices.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas and respond to call lights.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff; take on special projects as needed.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference
