Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct, compassionate care in a 112-bed facility offering short-term rehab and long-term care. You will perform ADLs, assist with mobility, monitor vitals, and uphold resident rights while collaborating with licensed nursing staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and patient-centered service within a supportive benefits package designed to empower staff and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state where the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care duties under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) per resident plan of care.
• Change bed linens and maintain supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other data as assigned.
• Turn and position residents regularly; support resident rights and choices.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas; respond to call lights.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
