Job summary

Avina Healthcare in Wisconsin invites an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team in Kenosha. The role supports medical staff in patient care, including bathing, feeding, medication assistance, and vital sign monitoring.

Full-time, first or second shift (6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm) with hourly pay around $25, plus Daily Pay option and a benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, PTO and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience in long-term care.
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in Wisconsin.
• Ability to work full-time on 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living: bathing, bathing hygiene, feeding, and medication assistance.
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to licensed staff.
• Document and communicate patient care and observations.
• Maintain safety for residents and co-workers at all times.
• Respond promptly to call lights and requests for help.
• Collaborate with all disciplines within the center for coordinated care.
• Maintain and renew educational credits for continued certification.

Job Overview

The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to support medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Your duties will include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication and assessing your patients' vital signs to notify staff of any changes.

Job Responsibilities

• Resident centered care oriented
• Personal cares to include assistance in adl's, mobility, positioning, bathing, toileting and dining assistance
• Observations and reporting to licensed staff to monitor resident condition and safety
• Be aware of all aspects of safety for residents and co-workers
• Answer call lights timely and promptly
• Be a team player working in coordination with all disciplines in the center
• Licensed as a certified nursing assistant, and participate in scheduled training and educational classes, maintaining the educational credits for continued certification
