University Health & Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2nd Shift with Shift Differential 3p-11p.

As a CNA, you provide exceptional hands-on care and collaborate with the nursing team to help residents regain and maintain independence. You will contribute to high-quality care and make a meaningful difference in residents' lives daily.

Qualifications

• Active unencumbered CNA certification in North Carolina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized resident care according to care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Assist with mealtimes and feeding as needed.
• Support mobility, including transfers and positioning.
• Monitor health status and vital signs, report changes to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities for well-being.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well‑being.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
