Villa Health & Rehab in Deland, FL is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our compassionate team. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time and $1,000 for part-time roles.

Perform direct resident care under licensed supervision, promoting a compassionate environment and quality daily assistance. Requirements include CNA certification, CPR, English communication skills, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in current state.
• Current/active CPR certification.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care of residents daily and as needed.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and meals.
• Turn and position residents; monitor environment for comfort and safety.
• Assist in collecting data for the MDS and care plans.
• Ensure adequate hydration and assist with meals when needed.
• Prepare residents for meals and transport to dining room.
• Maintain accurate records of food intake and output.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist residents.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position summary

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements/Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Observe residents carefully and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse.
• Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care. Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.
• Provide adequate hydration to residents at regular intervals each day according to specific resident needs.
• Prepare residents for each meal and transport them to dining room (unless a bed patient) making sure that food tray is accessible, self-help devices are available (if needed), and assistance is provided to those residents who cannot feed themselves.
• Keep an accurate record of food intake and output, as directed.
• Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light and noise control.
• Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
