Job description

Seeking a conscientious, thoughtful caretaker with experience tending to older adults. The individual must possess an active Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. This position provides daily supervision and care to Adult Wellness Center participants, in accordance with Illinois Department on Aging Administrative Code, Title 89: Social Services Chapter II: Department on Aging Part 240 Community Care Program, Adult Day Services. Responsibilities include providing direct care, support, and supervision of participants by assisting with daily living and personal care, and actively engaging them in activities such as games, crafts, and music. The position offers hourly compensation at $17.72/hour, along with medical, vision, dental insurance, paid time off, 401K, and other voluntary benefits.

Responsibilities include:

1. Planning and facilitating a variety of activities to meet participants' needs under the guidance of the Program Supervisor.
2. Monitoring and recording vital signs and health information to support the nurse.
3. Supporting participants with daily living and personal care, including feeding, toileting, hygiene, ambulation, and transfers.
4. Ensuring safety by monitoring the environment and maintaining sanitary, clutter-free areas, reporting hazards immediately.
5. Completing reports and documentation as required.
6. Performing other ad hoc projects as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
