Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience with seniors preferred.
• Patience and compassion when working with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders per care plans.
• Assist with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting residents with beds, chairs, baths, wheelchairs, lifts.
• Assist dining room services at mealtimes: set-up, clean-up, tray delivery, feeding assistance, and document intake.
• Monitor residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Deliver nutritional supplements and document intake per policy.
• Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities.
• Document resident care timely and accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and updates.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Monitor the residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provide resident assistance as needed to ensure intake. Document intake per community policy/procedure.
• Participate in life enrichment programming and providing meaningful activities to residents.
• Document resident care timely and accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations

Experience: 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion in working with the elderly.

Min: USD $22.00/Hr.

Max: USD $25.00/Hr.
