Job summary

Countryside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Carlisle County seeks a dedicated CNA to care for residents in a 61-bed facility. You will assist with bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulation, and daily activities, while monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in long-term care preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' needs: bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs; assist with lifting/moving residents.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing management.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Assist nurse with duties as directed.

CNA Responsibilities:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Current state certification as a CNA
