Job summary

Village on the Park Onion Creek, an Independent Living and Assisted Living senior community in Austin, TX, is hiring experienced CNAs. We offer $18.00/hr and full-time employment with evenings and overnight shifts on a rotating schedule. The Aspenwood Company will cover CNA license costs upon joining.

Requirements include current CNA and CPR certifications, a high school diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of senior care experience, and HIPAA awareness. Weekend and holiday availability is needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence and respect.
• Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and promote proper nutrition and hydration, respecting residents' right to free choice.
• Participate in and initiate leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and form friendships.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
• Follow proper procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Keep track of residents' locations, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
• Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
