Job summary
Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical team.
You will provide hands-on care under a Registered Nurse, assist with daily activities, monitor patient needs, and support families.
This full-time, day-shift role requires Oregon CNA and BLS, with opportunities to grow within a close-knit hospital environment.
Qualifications
- CNA certification in Oregon required.
- BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and meals.
- Help patients stay mobile by assisting with walking, transfers, repositioning, exercise, and getting in and out of bed safely.
- Take and document vital signs.
- Measure and record fluid intake and output.
- Apply dressings and perform other basic clinical tasks as assigned.
- Observe patients closely and report changes in condition, symptoms, or concerns to the nursing team.
- Perform CPR and other basic support skills when needed.
- Carry out treatments directed by a physician or nurse.
- Ensure patient rooms and supply areas are stocked and ready to support patient care.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support unit operations by answering phones, processing charts, entering orders, and assisting with other clerical tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with caregivers across the hospital to help patients receive safe, coordinated care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $22.35 - $33.17 per hour
The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant on our Medical team, you'll help patients feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout their hospital stay. At Peace Harbor Medical Center, this role may also:
- Float between Medical Outpatient Services (MOPS) and SSU/PACU.
- Assist as an EKG Tech during outpatient stress testing (MOPS).
- Participate in weekend call responsibilities (MOPS).
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet individual patient needs
- Compassionate and respectful approach toward patients, families, visitors, and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Basic computer, clerical, customer service, and telephone skills
