Job summary

Lafayette Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lafayette, LA is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate bedside care for our residents. The CNA will support daily routines, coordinate with the nursing team, and help maintain residents’ comfort and safety.

You will assist with hygiene, mobility, and documentation, participate in shift reports, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide license or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test. Must be licensed within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily nursing report along with daily electronic documentation.
• Assist residents with daily personal hygiene activities, turning, lifting, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and make independent decisions when warranted.
• Work with a high quality, collaborative team and more.

Education

Michigan Certified Nurse Aide license or completed Michigan approved CNA training program and eligible to test

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides quality nursing care to residents. They coordinate work within the department, as well as with other departments, report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, and assists immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.

What You Do

As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) you are efficient and strive to provide the best possible care to our residents and families. Our CNA’s are responsible for providing individualized care that encourages the resident to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychological wellbeing.
