Job Details Job Location: Westhill Newnan Crossing - Newnan, GA Salary Range: $15.00

Summary: Responsible for enhancing and improving the SRIM experience, focusing on heartfelt care for residents and their families. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM’s core value of the golden rule by treating others—including residents, families, visitors, and staff—with respect. Attends to residents' daily living needs, including assistance with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry, while encouraging independence.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene.
  2. Engage with residents at all care levels with empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
  3. Observe and report changes in residents' health and emotional wellbeing daily.
  4. Serve and assist residents during meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  5. Participate in leisure activities as per the activity calendar.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
  7. Perform general housekeeping duties following established schedules.
  8. Support a dignified, caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to residents' requests and inquiries from families and visitors.
  10. Communicate effectively in a language understandable to residents.
  11. Ensure residents or responsible parties sign out when leaving the community.
  12. Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards immediately.
  13. Assist colleagues as needed and follow emergency policies and procedures.
  14. Be available as essential personnel during emergencies or inclement weather.
  15. Work as part of a team, demonstrating a positive and respectful attitude.
  16. Comply with attendance policies and participate in trainings and meetings.
  17. Adhere to dress code and HIPAA regulations.
  18. Assist with training and mentoring new employees.
  19. Take initiative, seek additional information, and contribute to projects outside regular duties.
  20. Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
  21. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Resident Services Department staff, including training, scheduling, performance appraisal, and addressing employee concerns.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use senses of taste and smell. Occasionally sit, climb, or balance. May need to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Qualifications: Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Language Ability: Read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving straightforward variables.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of related experience/training or equivalent combination.
