Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $22.19/hr

Shift Details

• 1st Shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Compensation depends on tenure. Shift differentials are offered for evenings, nights, and weekends depending on the package.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate).
• Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, bed turning, walking, and incontinent needs.
• Change bed linens.
• Record oral intake and urinary output.
• Supply and empty bedpans, collect and perform specimen tests.
• Transport residents and equipment as needed.
• Monitor residents and report variances to the nurse.
• Follow infection control precautions.
• Assist with evacuation of residents.
• Participate in departmental and staff training programs.
• Prepare rooms for new residents following guidelines.
• Report complaints and grievances to the Charge Nurse.
• Inform healthcare staff of supply needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be certified by Indiana as a nurse assistant.
• Must have sufficient strength to assist with movement and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to be on call and work beyond regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset or hostile individuals.
