Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC in Illinois seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care in a supportive team environment. You will assist with daily living activities, follow care plans, and help maintain a safe, home-like setting for residents.

Completion of CNA program with current license is required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred. 18-24 months of related experience and in-service training hours are expected, with a flexible schedule and full-time benefits package.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program with current license.
• 18–24 months experience in a similar position.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Attendance at in-service training hours required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to dignity, privacy, independence, and a home-like environment for Residents.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads the Resident records and maintains familiarity with them.
• Assists with ADLs and mobility while encouraging self-care.
• Provides services per Resident service plans (bathing, toileting, transfers).
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Notifies nurse of status/change as appropriate.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Follows fire, life safety, disaster, security, and general safety procedures.

Position Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL's, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
• Notifies nurse, and/or designated agent(s) of Resident status/change as appropriate.

Training And Experience

Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program with current license. 18-24 months experience in a similar position, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.

Education

Attendance at mandatory in-service training. Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification. Meet in-service training hours required for job classification and position.
