Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, hands-on care in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities across South Dakota.

This role offers flexible schedules (PRN, part-time, full-time) with weekly pay and competitive hourly wages of $24-$26. Responsibilities include assisting residents with ADLs, monitoring health status, measuring vitals, supporting meals and hydration, and documenting care while following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in South Dakota or reciprocity/endorsement.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous CNA experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to different facility environments and resident needs.
• Must meet all pre-employment screenings and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Monitor and report changes in health or well-being to nursing staff.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, respirations).
• Assist with meals, hydration, and adherence to care plans.
• Provide emotional support and promote dignity, independence, and comfort.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and facility policies.
• Document care and communicate important information to the nursing team.
• Perform other duties as assigned within CNA scope.

Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Interim HealthCare, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and personal hygiene
• Monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ conditions, behaviors, or overall well-being to the appropriate nursing staff
• Measuring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, as assigned
• Assisting with meals, feeding, and hydration while following individual care plans and dietary requirements
• Providing emotional support and promoting residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life
• Following infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and established safety procedures.
• Documenting care provided and communicating important information to nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team
• Performing other duties as assigned within the scope of CNA certification and facility requirements

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in South Dakota, or the ability to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous CNA experience preferred
• Ability to adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs
• Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
• Must meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete all required pre‑employment screenings and onboarding procedures.
