Apple Rehab Saybrook is hiring CNAs to assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, mobility, dressing, and basic care in our 100‑bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community along the Connecticut shoreline.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Positioning in and out of bed; documents personal care given according to facility policies; observes changes and reports to supervisor.
• Responds to call lights and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity

Starting Pay

Competitive rates ranging from $20-$25 per hour

Differentials Offered

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts

• Temporary Full-time 32 hour/week through 6/15
• Per Diem

Responsibilities

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Additional Expectations
