REQUIREMENTS:
1.Certified by the State of California as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintains current certification while employed as a C.N.A. at the facility.
2.Demonstrates the ability to follow oral and written instructions and to write information in English.
3.Must be able to perform any physical requirement of the position,includinglifting dead or unassisted weight of 40 pounds.
4.Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English.
5.Has the desire to care for people, especially the elderly and/or chronically ill.
BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
To provide care for residents according to Nursing Standards of Care as taught inaneducational program for C.N.A. and according to facility procedures and task lists. Provides care utilizing safe techniques and specialized equipment to protect the residentsand staff. Provides care and services according to Resident Rights andTitle 22 and OBRA regulations.
REPORTING:The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to the Charge Nurse on duty and the Director of Staff Development.
