Job summary

Holmes Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center in Lincoln, NE is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide compassionate resident care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

The CNA will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, perform vital sign checks, document care in the electronic health records, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure quality resident care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification valid in Nebraska.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Ability to lift/move residents and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Support mobility including transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, respirations).
• Document care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in EHR.
• Communicate changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding and provide companionship to residents.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for cohesive care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
