Serenity Estates of Lena in Lena, IL is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our care team. You will provide resident-centered care, assist with daily living activities, and support dignity, comfort, and independence for residents with a focus on safety and quality. This role requires teamwork with licensed nursing staff and other caregivers.

We offer shift differentials, weekend differentials, and benefits. Previous long-term care experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Illinois CNA certification in good standing is required.

• Transport residents to appointments, activities, and dining areas as needed.

Responsibilities

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Measure and record vital signs as directed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
• Assist with meal service and monitor food and fluid intake.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
• Assist in maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, and rights.
• Document care provided according to facility policies and procedures.
• Support residents in participating in activities and social interactions.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Assist with restorative care programs as directed.
• Transport residents to appointments, activities, and dining areas as needed.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain neat and orderly.
• Promote resident safety and help prevent falls and injuries.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems as required.
• Follow all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.
• Participate in resident in-service training, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and any other pre-employment requirements.
