Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for supporting patients with direct care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role includes monitoring patient conditions, responding to basic health needs, and assisting with recovery processes, especially in high-acuity units such as the ICU. CNAs play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care and communicating vital information to healthcare teams and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate patients' health status and report changes to nursing staff
• Recognize and respond to subtle or sudden changes in patient condition
• Provide frequent updates to physicians, patients, and family members
• Assist with treatments and ensure accurate monitoring of medication doses (under supervision)
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and alert appropriate personnel
• Provide care throughout patient recovery in the ICU or assigned unit
• Complete documentation and assist with smooth patient transfers
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records
• Assist in developing and executing individualized care plans

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent healthcare training
• License/Certification: Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• COVID-19 vaccination (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ICU or acute care settings is highly desirable
• Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience, preferably including Home Health Aide (HHA) work
