The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) is a 44-bed acuity adaptable unit that cares for all patients admitted to Lurie Children's with a primary cardiac diagnosis. Patients range in acuity from stable to critically ill requiring full ICU care and in age from newborn to adulthood. Additionally, we have 6 overflow beds managed and staffed by the CCU team. Nursing assistants work closely with bedside nurses and charge nurses to provide patient care and support, including stocking rooms, acquiring equipment, responding to emergencies, and assisting with ADLs, vital signs, and patient transports.
Must be comfortable with non-patient care duties supporting the unit, responding to emergencies, and assisting with patient care for all ages, including infants and adults.
This 48-bed unit provides family-centered care for patients from birth through young adulthood, with specialties in pulmonary, general medical, and mental health needs. The team delivers compassionate, individualized care, emphasizing teamwork and emotional support.
Open to feedback, good communication, accountability, teamwork, empathy, patience, and understanding of child development.
Floor 20 is a 48-bed unit serving pediatric surgery, trauma, GI/Liver, Kidney, ENT, Plastics, and Urology. Patients may transition between medical and surgical care as needed.
Team player, respectful collaborator, adaptable, compassionate, proactive, calm under pressure, and customer service-oriented.
This 48-bed unit primarily cares for hematology/oncology patients and those with eating disorders requiring 1:1 sitter support. Responsibilities include vital signs, weights, bathing, POCT, and patient transport.
Comfortable with 1:1 sitting, respectful communication, teamwork, patience, and flexibility.
The CNA works under RN supervision to provide care for pediatric and adolescent patients with acute and chronic conditions, supporting quality and service excellence.
$18.50-$27.75 Hourly
