MedStar Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Franklin Square Hospital. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating strong knowledge in the field.

This role involves working as part of a patient-centered care team to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, supporting medical and nursing procedures, performing specific care activities such as specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, and documenting in health records. Duties vary depending on the work area and patient needs.

Primary Duties

• Assist patients with ADLs, personal hygiene, mobility, and transportation.
• Collect specimens, perform venipuncture, obtain EKGs, and record vital signs and other pertinent data.
• Perform routine treatments like dressing changes, wound care, and patient positioning.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity; assist with examinations and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, support discharge and transfer processes, and handle errands as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
• Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.

This position offers a salary range of $17.50 - $28.73 per hour.
